Thanks to your help tracking down bugs in Jetpack 1.2, we’ve been able to quickly ship a new release that fixes most of the problems you reported.

Bugs fixed in version 1.2.1:

  • Missing/Inaccessible Sites Stats page: We made the stats pages faster in Jetpack 1.2. In Jetpack 1.2.1, we actually made them visible.
  • Scary looking errors during upgrade: There were some nasty looking, but ultimately harmless, errors during upgrade for some people.
  • The “menu bubble” for new features shows the wrong number: For some types of upgrades, the bubble’s count was incorrect.
  • The presence of VaultPress is not detected accurately: Our colleagues at VaultPress fixed this one for us.
  • Bad link to Jetpack FAQ: Lastly, a tiny update that only the eagle-eyed spotted.

You should see the update available in your WordPress dashboard shortly. As always, you can download the latest version of Jetpack here at jetpack.me as well.

Since it was not in the list of bug fixes, I didn’t expect it to be fixed: Site Stats is still broken in IR8 and IE9.

Site Stats is now displaying correctly in IE8, IE9 and FireFox 7.0.1.

Since I have not installed any updates (I use manual, not automatic updating), I am guessing that the Site Stats page is not generated locally but by the WordPress server.

The pages are generated from a little of both: locally and the WordPress.com/Jetpack servers.

But yes, we believe we’ve fixed the bug.

Fast work – very professional response
Still a very small bug – ‘you do not have sufficient permission to view stats’ appeared once after updating.
    After refreshing page, it works
    No error messages received either.

Same here, even with 1.2.1 no stats/bar charts to be precise) it just sits there spinning the loading animation.. (WordPress 3.2.1)

The Google+ button is still small! and when I add more sharing services, it gets a weird formatting!

You can edit Google+ button size by edditing sharing-sources.php (jetpack/modules/sharedaddy/sharing-sources.php)

      Search for <g:plusone size="small"

Change "small" for "medium", "tall" or "standart".

      Example: <g:plusone size="medium"

Stats still not working on IE 9 and my ads are no longer working on my page, not sure if this is Jetpack’s fault or not so appologies if it isn’t.

We think we’ve fixed the stats+IE issue. I have no clue about your ads 🙂 You can try deactivating the Jetpack plugin to see if your ads come back.

If you think it’s Jetpack’s fault, please, contact support (bottom of the page).

I still get the “site_inaccessible” error when I try to connect Jetpack to WordPress.com after installation.

“Error Details: The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site [HTTP 404]. If you are hosted with Go Daddy, they are aware of this issue, and we at WordPress.com are working with them to fix it. If your site is hosted elsewhere, please contact Jetpack Support: http://jetpack.me/support/

    I’m using WordPress 3.2.1 and Safari 5.1.1.

I’ve been noticing that the bar graph for site stats does not come up in FireFox 7.0.1 (running under Windows XP with SP3).

It fails to come up if I click on Site Stats in the left hand column. If I click on the Days, Weeks, or Months tab then the chart will show. But clicking on Site Stats in the left hand column results in an empty chart. I don’t recall this being a problem with 1.2.

You can find a screenshot over here.

I get a totally unviewable wp-admin screen after updating this. http://kxrtonline.com – AWS hosts.

    • mdawaffe says:

What does “unviewable” mean? Is it just a white screen? Is everything there but ugly? Are there missing pieces? Is it every page in wp-admin/, or just the Jetpack pages? Just the stats pages?

We think we’ve fixed the stats pages. Please contact support (at the bottom of the page) if you need more help.

For those of you who have not been able to see and/or use your stats pages or graphs, please try again.

We believe we’ve fixed the issue. There’s no need to update your plugin.

I appreciate the stellar update! I have one suggestion, can you make it so I can embed the “Subscriptions” option inside a post? It’s great to have it as a widget but I would like a way to link to a subscription page, etc.

    • Alex Rodriguez says:

One other suggestion, please include all of the available Shortcode Embeds from wp.com such as ted. Not sure if its a technical thing but I don’t see the reason to limit whats available.

Site Stats is not working again. Thsi problem exists with IE8, IE9 and FF 7.0.1:

My stat values are all wrong: (1) all-time views, (2) views today, (3) views on your busiest day, (4) referrers, (5) top posts & pages, (6) clicks, (7) Search engine terms, and (8) subscriptions all show wrong values. For all [except (8)] they are too low. (8) shows me too many.

Clicking on summary tables gives me wrong values. The stats go all the way back to December 2009. This site only started in WordPress in March-2011. Even if I add up all the visitors from 2009, 2010 and 2011, I don’t get the value I had earlier this morning (it’s about 1/7 th of what it should be).

Only the Days, Weeks, and Months at a glance charts show the correct values.

It’s been fine for me up until today but now with the Jetpack Site Stats Dashboard plug in I get this error – “We were unable to get your stats just now. Please try again” It’s a blog I host, it’s not a wordpress hosted blog and it’s been fine until today. Any ideas?
