Yesterday Jetpack 5.2 was released which unfortunately introduced a bug that prevented content in new widgets from being saved. The issue did not affect existing widgets, only newly created ones.

Thanks to prompt reports from our users we’ve released an update (5.2.1) which fixes the issue.

We apologize for the inconvenience and recommend you update now.

Thank you to the contributors to this release: Rocco Tripaldi, Miguel Lezama, Derek Smart, and Elio Rivero.

Its kinda crazy, but, when I open a widget to see the content, there is no content! Even though the widgets are still showing the content on the front of the site. It wasn’t like that until yesterdays update.

Just checked it. The bug where it empties the text content of the text or TinyMCE widget is still there. Rolling back to 5.1 again…

Hey Jetpack team, I’ve also contacted you about a fatal error that is presenting itself on PHP 7.0.21 with Jetpack 5.2. It was as follows:

Fatal error: in /home/wprss/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack1/sync/class.jetpack-sync-sender.php on line 98

Have also had fatal error with latest version, line 98 error, won’t allow installation at all and it a serious issue for my site as my theme requires JetPack. Had been considering a pro upgrade but it has been several days without a fix!

      Daniel,

Most of our support efforts go toward the people who reach out to us via our contact form on this page:

      https://jetpack.com/contact-support/

We can’t always keep up with the forums as much as we’d like, especially when there’s a widespread issue, but we are doing our best! 🙂
