Keep the same blocks, template and featured image. Call the copy [About, new version] and save it as a draft. Square brackets are placeholders. Ask the user to fill them in if they did not. ## Steps for your agent 1. Find the page with pages.list, searching by title. For a post, use posts.list. If more than one matches, ask which one. 2. Read it with pages.get (or posts.get) with context "edit" and content_format "raw", so you get the exact block markup. 3. Ask before saving. On yes, call pages.create (or posts.create) with the raw content, the new title, status "draft", and the same template, parent and featured_media. For a post, copy its categories and tags too. Pass user_confirmed true. 4. If the reply has _content_warnings, tell the user what was dropped. Give them the edit link. ## Tools - `pages.list` (reads only, through `wpcom-mcp-content-authoring`): Find a page by its title. - `pages.get` (reads only, through `wpcom-mcp-content-authoring`): Read a page’s blocks and settings. - `pages.create` (makes changes, through `wpcom-mcp-content-authoring`): Save the copy as a new draft page. - `posts.list` (reads only, through `wpcom-mcp-content-authoring`): Find a post by its title. - `posts.get` (reads only, through `wpcom-mcp-content-authoring`): Read a post’s blocks and settings. - `posts.create` (makes changes, through `wpcom-mcp-content-authoring`): Save the copy as a new draft post.
