# Check if your traffic is going up or down

Week by week views and visitors, with a plain answer on the trend.

## Prompt

> Is my traffic going up or down? Show my weekly views and visitors for the last [8] weeks and tell me the trend in one sentence.

Square brackets are placeholders. Ask the user to fill them in if they did not.

## Steps for your agent

1. Call statistics.get once per week for the number of weeks the user gave (default 8), each with a 7-day start_date and end_date. The calls can run in parallel.
2. Leave out the current week if it isn’t over yet.
3. Compare the first few weeks with the last few. Call it up, flat or down, and name the best and worst weeks.

## Tools

- `statistics.get` (reads only, through `wpcom-mcp-site`): Read views and visitors for each week you pick.

Run each tool through the WordPress.com MCP server tool named next to it, with `action: "execute"`, `operation` set to the tool name, `wpcom_site` and `params`. Set `user_confirmed: true` only after the user approves a change.
