Jetpack 8.2: New Blocks to Help You Manage Your Business

Jetpack 8.2 is now available for download, with three new blocks to help you promote your business or passion.

Here’s what’s new this month.

Calendly

If you want your site’s visitors to be able to book appointments, meetings, and classes with you, you want Calendly. Jetpack’s new Calendly block allows your visitors to book time with you from any page on your site.

Eventbrite

Whether you’re an association, band, artist, or sports club, promoting your events and offering online registration matters. With Eventbrite you can browse, create, and promote events, and with the new Jetpack Eventbrite block, you can embed events on posts or pages.

OpenTable

As a restaurant owner, one of your ultimate online goals is driving reservations. OpenTable can help — and with the OpenTable block, people will be able to book a table right from a post or page on your site.

And more

As always, this release includes many other bug fixes and improvements.  This time around, we focused on the connection process to ensure that your site’s connection to WordPress.com is as reliable as possible.

You can check the changelog for more details. To use the latest version of Jetpack on your site, update your existing installation or install Jetpack.

Note
After 8.2 was released, we released three maintenance versions. 8.2.1, 8.2.2, and 8.2.3 resolved issues causing delayed synchronization of your posts to WordPress.com, the inability to add a second image to some Jetpack blocks, and a conflict with a few other plugins when also using the WooCommerce mobile app. If you had issues with any of those things with 8.2, update to the latest and you’ll be all set!

A big thank you to everyone who contributed to this release:

I can’t seen to get Eventbrite block to work. I can add it and see in the Gutenburg editor, but can’t see when Published or Preview, doesn’t load.

The OpenTable app should open up a whole new world. That would be so convenient to just book a reservation like that. Excellent post!
