Jetpack 11.5: Under-the-hood improvements to enhance your experience

Update 2022-11-02: Jetpack 11.5.1 was released today to address a conflict with WP Super Cache and an upgrade issue that caused critical errors on some sites.

For more details on the latter issue, Jetpack was looking for a file that didn’t exist because the Firewall module didn’t regenerate it properly during the update. The 11.5.1 update makes sure the file is properly generated before upgrading. There are instances where the file may have still been generated during upgrading, which is why this didn’t affect every site with the module enabled on 11.5. We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused.

This month we have worked on several under-the-hood improvements to enhance your Jetpack experience, including updates to forms, notification emails, and Jetpack Social.

In this release:

  • The Consent field result from forms will now show up in notification emails and feedback views.
  • Jetpack Social will now highlight if a previously connected social account has a broken connection in the editor.
  • The form block has had several small interaction enhancements and bug fixes.

This release also includes other minor bug fixes and improvements — check the changelog for more

Update broke the site and looks like it broke several others as well.

that’s great but could someone from Jetpack answer to us on Twitter as this release broke many sites… is there a place where you explain how to do better than just “disable jetpack”… ?
