Add an option to disable automatic daily vulnerability scans

Trying to Allow users to disable Jetpack Protect's automatic daily vulnerability scans while keeping other Jetpack security features enabled.

Jetpack currently runs automatic vulnerability scans approximately every 24 hours, without providing an option to disable this scheduled scanning.

This creates unnecessary duplication for users who already have a dedicated WordPress security plugin performing vulnerability checks on WordPress core, installed plugins, and themes.

For example, I use Kadence Security Basic (formerly Solid Security), which already performs vulnerability checks using the Patchstack database. Running another daily vulnerability scanner on the same website provides overlapping functionality and can generate duplicate alerts, including false positives.

I understand the value of Jetpack Protect and appreciate the security capabilities it provides. However, users should be able to decide which security tools they want to run on their own websites.

My request is to introduce an independent setting such as:

Enable automatic daily vulnerability scans: ON / OFF.

When disabled, Jetpack should stop scheduling and requesting its daily vulnerability checks.

Importantly, this setting should not disable or affect other Jetpack features, particularly:

Account Protection.

Login protection.

Firewall functionality.

Other unrelated Jetpack modules and services.

The objective is not to remove Jetpack Protect, but to give website administrators control over redundant security checks.

Security should provide flexibility and user choice, not force users to run multiple overlapping scanners.

100% agree. Jetpack is becoming nothing more than a walking advertisement. This feature is not only useless, but also misleading most of the time. Users should have the option to disable it, otherwise I’ll eventually end up ditching the entire plugin.
