Jetpack 6.5 is now available for download. This is a general maintenance release that also addresses a security issue reported to us via HackerOne.
Here’s what’s new this month:
Simple Payments security update
Keeping your sites safe is always at the top of our minds, and this update improves the security of the Simple Payments widget. We highly recommend that users of this widget update to Jetpack 6.5 as soon as possible.
Thank you, Simon Scannell of RIPS Technologies, for responsibly disclosing the security vulnerability to us.
Lazy Images network usage improved
With this update, your site visitors will have an even faster experience scrolling through your images once you’ve activated Lazy Images.
Site Verification settings removed from the Tools menu
We removed the settings interface previously found on the Tools menu, but you can still access it by visiting the Jetpack Admin Page settings.
WordAds improvements
You can now add and control custom entries on the ads.txt file with a brand-new setting. Where can you find it? Just head to the Jetpack Admin Page settings under the Traffic tab.
