Tell us what Jetpack should build next

Jetpack now has a public feature request board. It’s one place to tell us what you want Jetpack to do next, see what other people are asking for, and follow along as we decide.

Start with what’s already there

The board isn’t empty. We launched it with features people had already requested on GitHub, such as automatic Pinterest sharing, serving images in AVIF, taking card payments within a form, and searching PDFs. Each feature links back to its GitHub discussion. They may not stay around if they don’t receive many votes, but we thought it would be good to show something on the first visit.

Search for what you need, filter by status, and sort by trending, most votes, or newest. If your request is already listed, vote for it. You can cast one vote per request and later withdraw it.

Suggest something new

If it’s not there, click “Suggest a feature.” Give it a title, then explain what you’re trying to achieve. We read that second line first. A vote shows how many people want it. Your explanation tells us why, and it often points to a better fix than the title suggests.

While you type the title, the form displays similar requests, letting you vote for an existing one rather than creating a duplicate.

Someone on our team reviews each new request before it’s posted to the board.

Follow a request

Each request gets its own page with a full description, its current status, and a discussion. Press “Follow” to be notified when it moves. Voting for a request also follows it.

Requests progress through four stages, Under review, Planned, In progress, and Shipped. When a request moves to a new stage, everyone who suggested it, voted for it, or follows it receives an email. If we decide not to build something, we mark it Not planned and explain why.

To vote, follow, or suggest, sign in with your WordPress.com account. It’s the same one you use to connect Jetpack.

That’s it. If Jetpack is missing something you need, the board is where you should tell us.
