The Jetpack team is fresh off an incredible visit to Portland, Oregon, for WordCamp US 2024. We are excited to share our experience seeing the latest advances in WordPress and spending time with the vibrant WordPress community. This year’s event was a true celebration of creativity, collaboration, and connectivity within the WordPress ecosystem.
A Picturesque Setting
Portland served as the perfect backdrop for this year’s WordCamp. The fall temperature was ideal for the city to show off its photo-worthy river and mountain views. The convention center provided an excellent event space, allowing attendees to mingle, learn, and share ideas in a welcoming atmosphere.
Connecting with the Community
One of the highlights of our time at WordCamp was the opportunity to spend quality time with the amazing WordPress community. It was thrilling to meet both new faces and familiar friends, all passionate about the future of WordPress and web development. The advances in WordPress are exciting to see, which in turn give us all more ideas to collaborate and innovate.
Showing off Jetpack
We may be biased, but we think the Jetpack booth was the best yet. We demoed the latest Jetpack features, individual plugins, and My Jetpack. This was our first WCUS as part of the larger Automattic booth. It was great to visually show our connection to other parts of Automattic in a real-life setting. The collaborative spirit in the booth showed off the full power of the Automattic family and our commitment to helping everyone succeed online. And did I mention coffee? There was coffee.
Amazing Local Coffee
No visit to Portland would be complete without mentioning the incredible coffee culture! We enjoyed delightful brews from Push X Pull, a local Portland roaster known for their exceptional coffee. The energy boost was much appreciated as we engaged with the community and shared our passion for making WordPress better for everyone.

As a token of appreciation, we shared some exclusive swag with our visitors—special bags of Ethiopian coffee beans from Push X Pull. We hope that every sip brings back memories of the wonderful conversations and connections made at WordCamp.
