Jetpack 4.7.1 is here to fix a few more bugs, available now for upgrade or installation.
This small update includes:
Widget Visibility Improvements
We made a number of changes toΒ Widget VisibilityΒ to improve performance, add more visibility options, and fix a few bugs. In the process, we also changed the way Custom Post Type rules work. Unfortunately, you may have seen someΒ display issues in the widget settings ifΒ you used Custom Post Type rules. This is now fixed.
We also fixed some widget setting display issues for folks who use Jetpack inΒ right-to-leftΒ languages like Arabic andΒ Hebrew.
Markdown Bug Fix
Depending on your setup, Markdown may not have been working as expected on yourΒ posts and pages with the recent update. This is also fixed.
SecureΒ Sign-On Improvements
We toughened SecureΒ Sign-OnΒ to make it more reliable and resistant to nonce/token errors. If you everΒ experienced issues when hitting the “Log in with WordPress.com” button, those problems should now be gone!

Aloha!
One of my 5 wordpress sites is down and I cannot get any access to any files. When I try to login to wordpress.org for help I am unable to log in or get any response to a password reset. So, I’m totally unable to access help for my site, which is why I’m replying here. Any chance anyone can read this and respond? My other wordpress sites are online and working fine.
Thank you! Melissa

Hi Melissa, this is most likely caused by a recent update we made that has created an incompatibility with older versions of PHP.
Weβre working to fix it and will release an update as soon as we can. In the meantime you can solve the problem temporarily using one of the options described here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/fatal-error-after-updating-to-the-most-recent-version-of-jetpack-read-this/
