Display your most popular posts and pages on your site with the Top Posts & Pages Block.
Usage
To add the block to your page:
- Make sure the Jetpack Stats module is activated.
- Navigate to the WordPress editor.
- Click on the ‘+’ (Add Block) button.
- Search for and select “Top Posts & Pages”. If the Stats module is deactivated, the block will prompt you to activate it.
- Choose between two layouts—Grid layout and List layout—available from the Block Toolbar.
Block Settings
Configure the block to best suit your site’s needs:
- Number of Items: Set how many posts or pages you want to display by adjusting the slider on the settings sidebar.
- Stats Period: Select the time range for post views, such as “7 days,” to show the most viewed posts over the last week. If there is insufficient content with accumulated views, the block will select random posts.
- Items to Display: Filter content types (e.g., posts, pages, or media).
- Metadata Settings: Customize the display of meta information like date, author, or thumbnail.
- Style Settings: Modify text colors, fonts, and backgrounds to fit the theme’s features.
After configuring, verify that the block reflects your settings on your site’s front end.
If views are not being counted, ensure you are logged out. Views are only counted for logged-out users. Remember also that view counts are cached for five minutes.
