Jetpack 13.2: Secure Sign On Improvements, New Blocks, and More

Jetpack 13.2 is here and has improved secure sign on when it comes to adding new team members and new blocks ranging from Top Posts and Pages to Blog Stats, replacing the previous widgets and allowing more flexibility and integration with the block editor.

Secure Sign On Improvements

We’ve made improvements to the secure sign on feature in Jetpack. It’s now easier to invite people to your site, including users whose accounts are connected to WordPress.com. User management has also been improved, such as revoking pending invites. This makes it easier than ever to manage who has access to your site.

Top Posts and Pages Block

We’ve added a new block version of the top posts and pages widget which let’s you display your most popular content on a post or page. This is a great way of increasing the time people spend on your website and discovering new content. You can control if they display in a list or grid, how many items to show and the time period which the posts popularity is measured.

Blog Stats Block

In addition to displaying top posts and pages you can now show site stats by using the Blog Stats Block (another new block in place of the older widget). You can control whether you show views or visitors and whether you show data for your whole site, or an individual post (views only). This is a nice block to use if you want to show how many hits certain content has or your site in total.

Goodreads Block

We’ve also added a Goodreads Block (another addition, which used to be a widget) which can be added to any post, page or section of your site.

And More

We fixed a handful of bugs and made other improvements in the latest release to keep your experience using Jetpack as smooth and easy as possible. For more details, please check the changelog.
