Jetpack Stats Dashboard Widget

The Jetpack Stats widget shows your site’s views, visitors, popular posts, and blocked attacks on the WP Admin Dashboard.

When Jetpack Stats is active, Jetpack adds a Jetpack Stats widget to the Dashboard home screen in WP Admin. Choose a date range in the widget to see your traffic for the last week, month, quarter, or year without opening the full Stats dashboard.

Find the Jetpack Stats widgetMD

To find the widget:

1. Go to Dashboard → Home in WP Admin.
2. Find the Jetpack Stats widget in the first column. To move or collapse it, use the arrows in its title bar or drag it to a new position. See Dashboard Screen on WordPress.org for details.

The data in the widget is updated every 30 minutes.

Date rangeMD

The Date range menu sets the period for the Overview chart and the Popular content & referrers lists. Open the menu and select an option: “Last 7 days“, “Last 30 days“, “Last 90 days“, or “Last 12 months“. The widget keeps your choice for each site the next time you open the Dashboard in the same browser.

OverviewMD

The Overview section charts your site’s views and visitors for the selected date range, with the total for each. To see the full report for the same days, click the “More stats” link under the chart. It opens the Jetpack Stats traffic dashboard.

If Jetpack hasn’t recorded any traffic yet, the section shows “We are collecting traffic data for your site” in place of the chart.

Popular content & referrersMD

The Popular content & referrers section lists your most viewed posts and pages, and the sites that sent you visitors, for the selected date range. Switch between the Top Posts & Pages and Top Referrers tabs. To open the full list in Jetpack Stats, click the “See more” link. Jetpack hides this section when the date range has no data.

All-time site protectionMD

The All-time site protection section shows the total number of attacks Jetpack has blocked on your site. The totals cover all time, so they don’t change with the date range.

• Blocked login attempts: login attempts stopped by Jetpack’s brute force protection.
• Blocked spam comments: spam comments caught by Akismet, Jetpack’s spam protection.

Administrators also see an “Anti-spam insights” link, which opens the Akismet settings page in WP Admin. The link appears only when Akismet reports a count for your site. If Akismet isn’t active, the section shows an Activate button instead.

Click the “Explore more” link to open My Jetpack, where you can see and manage your other Jetpack products. If My Jetpack isn’t available on your site, the link opens Jetpack Settings or Jetpack Stats instead.
