Revoke licenses in Jetpack Manage

Through Jetpack Manage, you can easily revoke a site license when you no longer need it. This guide applies only to users who signed up for Jetpack Manage and purchased their license through Jetpack Manage.

Revoking single licenses vs. license bundles

If you signed up for Jetpack Manage, you can revoke a single product license, a license in a bundle, or a bundle of licenses. (Note that this only applies to the purchases through Jetpack Manage). This is how they differ:

Single licenses: Revoking a single license that isn’t part of a bundle cancels that license key and all premium Jetpack features stop functioning on the site it is assigned to. You will stop being billed for this license immediately.
A license in a bundle: Revoking a license in a bundle cancels that license key and all premium Jetpack features stop functioning on the site it is assigned to. A new license key will be issued to that bundle to replace the revoked license key. Billing will remain consistent across the month unless you revoke the entire license bundle.
A bundle of licenses: Revoking a bundle of licenses cancels all the license keys in the bundle. All premium Jetpack features will stop functioning on all the sites that the license keys are assigned to. You will stop being billed for this license bundle immediately.

Billing after revoking a license

Once a license is revoked in Jetpack Manage, the license is no longer valid or transferable to another site. However, how you are billed is different depending on if the license is a single license or part of a license bundle:

Single licenses: You will stop being billed for this license immediately.
License bundles: A new, unassigned license will be issued into your bundle that you can assign to another site. Your license bundle will always have the same number of licenses. The cost for your license bundle will not change.

Revoke a single license

You signed up for Jetpack Manage and purchased a license through it. Here is how you can revoke it:

Go to https://cloud.jetpack.com.
Navigate to Licenses.
Identify the license that you want to revoke. Click the down arrow to open up the license options panel for that license.
Click Revoke. A popup will appear asking you to confirm.
On the popup, click Revoke License.

Once you revoke the license, the license key will be cancelled and all premium features will stop working on the site where the license was assigned. Billing for the license will stop immediately.

Revoke a license in a bundle

You signed up for Jetpack Manage and purchased a bundle of licenses through it. Here is how you can revoke a license within a bundle:

Go to https://cloud.jetpack.com.
Navigate to Licenses.
Identify the bundle that the license is part of that you want to revoke. Click the down arrow to open up the license bundle panel.
Find the site in the license bundle panel that you want to revoke. Click the down arrow to open up the license options panel for that license.
Click Revoke. A popup will appear asking you to confirm.
On the popup, click Revoke License.

Once you revoke the license, the old license key will be cancelled and all premium features will stop working on the site where the license was assigned. Additionally, a new license will be issued in its place.

A license labeled Revoked will show in the license bundle panel, along with a new license labeled Unassigned. The revoked license is no longer valid and the unassigned license is now available to be assigned to a new site.

Revoke a bundle of licenses

You signed up for Jetpack Manage and purchased a bundle of licenses through it. Here is how you can revoke the bundle:

Go to https://cloud.jetpack.com.
Navigate to Licenses.
Identify the bundle that the license is part of that you want to revoke.
Click the three dots and then Revoke bundle. A popup will appear asking you to confirm.
On the popup, click Revoke bundle.

Once you revoke the bundle, all the license keys will be cancelled and all premium features will stop working on the sites where the licenses were assigned. Billing for the bundle will stop immediately.
