Jetpack Social Plans: Share Limits

Choose your Jetpack Social Plan

With the Jetpack Free Plan you can:

• Auto-share your posts to social media up to 30 times within a 30-day rolling period.
• Share when you publish, or schedule shares for the future^*.
• Preview how your posts will look on social networks.
• Save images to your Media Library.
• Allow other users on your site to share to your social connections.
• Recycle content by re-sharing published posts.

A share is one social media post made by sharing a blog post on a social media platform.

^*Scheduled shares do not count towards your share limit until the post is published.

The Jetpack Social Basic Plan includes:

• Everything in the Free Plan
• Up to 1,000 shares every 30 days

The Jetpack Social Advanced Plan includes:

A share is one social media post made by sharing a blog post on a social media platform.

Understand how we count Shares

Shares are determined by the number of social media platforms your blog post is shared on. One network = one share.

Scheduled shares are counted toward your 30-share limit only once they are published. For example, auto-sharing a blog post on Facebook and LinkedIn uses two of your 30 shares. If you schedule another post for future sharing within the same 30-day period, it won’t count toward your share limit until it’s actually shared. This means your total share count for that period will stay at two until the scheduled post goes live.

Track of your number of Shares

To check how many Jetpack Social Shares you’ve used and how many you have left on the Free Plan, follow these steps:

1. When editing a post, go to the right Jetpack sidebar
2. Navigate to the “Social settings” panel. A
3. Check the “Auto-Share Usage” for a visual representation of used and left shares is displayed:

If you have the Jetpack Social plugin installed, you can also check your usage on the main Jetpack Social page in WP Admin.

The auto-share feature will stop working if you are over 30 shares in the rolling 30-day period. To make sure your sharing is uninterrupted, upgrade to get a Jetpack Social plan or the Jetpack Complete plan.

You will also receive an email letting you know when you have reached your sharing limit, along with an offer to upgrade.

If you cancel your paid Jetpack Social plan, you will be downgraded to the Free plan, with up to 30 shares every 30 days.
