Jetpack’s latest release is highlighted by the new Jetpack Search, which we go into much more detail about in this post. There are some other notable improvements that we would like to tell you about.
- Jetpack 8.4 is fully compatible with the latest version of WordPress, 5.4, and requires WordPress 5.3 or above. We recommend that you update to benefit from all the recent improvements and bug fixes in Jetpack and in WordPress.
- We’ve improved performance for lazy loading images, Likes, Infinite Scroll, Gravatar Hovercards, and WordAds.
- The Recurring Payments block has been updated to work well with the AMP plugin.
- We’ve updated the Facebook Page Plugin Widget to make it more customizable.
In addition to everything above, this release includes many other bug fixes and improvements. You can check the changelog for more details. To use the latest version of Jetpack on your site, update your existing installation or install Jetpack.
Note
After 8.4 was released, we released two maintenance versions. 8.4.1 fixed some issues with the Secure Sign On feature; 8.4.2 addressed some bugs with the Infinite Scroll feature.
