Sharing Buttons Block

The Sharing Buttons Block allows you to add sharing buttons so visitors can share your posts and pages on social media with a couple of quick clicks.

Requirements

The block can be used on any site, but it is especially useful if you use a block-based theme. You will then be able to add the block to one or more of your theme templates, so the buttons can appear on multiple pages of your site. For example, you could add the block to the bottom of your Single Posts template so the buttons appear at the bottom of all your posts.

Adding the Sharing Buttons Block

You can add the Sharing block by searching and/or selecting it from the Jetpack section of the block selector. See Jetpack Blocks for detailed instructions on adding blocks.

After adding the sharing block to your site, you will then be able to add one or more individual sharing services to the block. You can add as many services as you’d like Print, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, WhatsApp, X and more.

Block settings

When the block is selected, you’ll have access to multiple options. You can change the size of the icons as well as their colors, and you can opt to display only an icon, icon and text, or text only button:

Privacy Information

The Sharing block is activated by default. It cannot be deactivated, and is always available to select from the Block Selector.
