Subscriber Login Block

The Subscriber Login block allows site members and subscribers to log in and access their account and/or subscription details. This block requires the Jetpack Newsletter feature to be enabled. You can enable this from Jetpack → Settings → Newsletter by switching on the option Allow visitors to subscribe to your site.

Overview

The block displays a “Log in” link for visitors who are not logged in. If a user is already logged in but not subscribed, a “Log out” link is shown. Subscribed and logged-in users see a “Manage subscription” link that directs them to the subscription management page for the site.

Users can also choose to transform the Subscriber Login block to the core WordPress Login-out Block.

Once the block has been transformed to the Login-out Block, users have the option to display the “Login” link as a form with a dedicated Login button along with username and password fields.

Usage

To add the Subscriber Login Block to your page:

1. Navigate to the WordPress editor.
2. Click on the ‘+’ (Add Block) button.
3. Search for and select “Subscriber Login”.
4. Once the block is added, customize the link text, style, and settings as needed using the block toolbar and sidebar panel.

Settings

• You can customize standard styling options, including link color, font size, and margin/padding, to match your site’s design.

• Set custom labels for the “Log in,” “Log out,” and “Manage subscription” links according to your site’s terminology.

• Configure post-login or post-logout redirection, which allows you to either return to the current URL or be directed to the homepage. By default, the redirection setting is set to Redirect to current URL. Disabling the Redirect to current URL option will adjust post-login and post-logout redirection to the website’s homepage.
• By default, users will see an option to manage their subscription once they’re logged in. You can choose to replace that with a simple logout link. To do that, simply toggle off the option Show “Manage subscription” link.
