Revue is is an editorial newsletter tool for writers and publishers. The Revue block creates a simple signup form for readers to opt-in to receive your newsletter.
The Revue block is available to free and paid Jetpack users.
Adding the Revue block
You can add the Revue block by searching and/or selecting it from the Jetpack section of the block selector:
See Jetpack Blocks for detailed instructions on adding blocks.
After you add the block, you will need to add your Revue username. If you need to sign up for a Revue account, you can do so here.
On the next configuration screen, you’ll be able to change the field labels to whatever you like.
The Revue block does not have any specific toolbar configuration options.
The Revue block’s settings allow you to:
- Toggle on and off the First and/or Last Name fields in the form.
- Modify the background color of the SUBSCRIBE button.
- Modify the font color of the SUBSCRIBE button.
- Change the border radius of the SUBSCRIBE button.
- Advanced options allow you to add additional CSS classes for further customization.
Every block has specific options in the editor sidebar in addition to the options found in the block toolbar. If you do not see the sidebar, click the ‘cog’ icon next to the Publish button.
The Revue block’s general Settings allow you to toggle on or off requiring a first and/or last name. This is also where your username field will show.
Here, you can modify the background color and font color of the SUBSCRIBE button, as well as the radius of the button border.
The advanced tab lets you add a CSS class to your block, allowing you to write custom CSS and style the block as you see fit.
