Preview your posts with Social Preview

Enjoy real-time post previews that update instantly as you draft your content. See how your post will appear on social media. This feature is free, and an additional upload image feature is included in Jetpack Social or Jetpack Complete.

Social Preview from the Jetpack sidebar

After drafting your post, you can use the Social Preview feature in the Jetpack sidebar to see how it will appear on social media. To access the Social Preview, follow the steps:

  1. When editing the post, click the Jetpack icon if you use the Jetpack plugin or the Social icon if you use the Jetpack Social plugin in the top-right corner of the editor.
  2. Click the Preview social posts button to open the Social Preview option.
  3. In the pop-up window that appears, select the social media platform you want to preview from the horizontal tab.

Alternatively, you can access the Social Preview from the Publish sidebar to preview your drafted post:

  • Click the Publish button.
  • Click the Preview social posts button to open the Social Preview option.
  • In the pop-up window, select the social media platform you want to preview from the horizontal tab.
  • If everything looks good, click the Publish button in the pre-publish sidebar to publish your post; otherwise, click Cancel to return to your draft.

Enhanced Social Preview feature

With a paid Jetpack Social plan or Jetpack Complete bundle, you can access the enhanced Social Preview feature to see how your post will look on each connected social account and make instant edits as needed:

  • Add or change the attached image: Customize your social post by adding or replacing the attached image directly in the preview window.
  • Add or change a customized message: Write a custom message for your social audience. This message will override your social post content.
  • Schedule or share the post: you can choose to schedule the sharing or to share the content immediately.

Jetpack also provides a default fallback image in its Open Graph meta tags when no suitable image is available in the post. This ensures that a valid social preview image is always present, even if the post has no Featured Image or other images to use.

The Social Preview feature ensures your posts look great on social media before sharing them, with the option to customize attached media in paid plans.

Troubleshoot Jetpack Social

Posts not being shared to your social media accounts by Jetpack Social? Get things working again.

Auto-sharing is a free feature of Jetpack Social. It does not require a paid subscription. For general features and FAQs, please see this information page.

Check Jetpack connection

As a first step to troubleshooting issues with Jetpack Social, check that your Jetpack connection is working properly – Jetpack Social will not work correctly without a healthy Jetpack connection.

Check Jetpack Social connection

If you are unable to make the initial connection between Jetpack and your social media accounts, please follow these steps:

  1. Try clearing your browser cache and cookies.
  2. Try disconnecting the social media connection, then reconnecting.
  3. Try resetting the authorization of the WordPress app (disconnect and reconnect any app authorizations from within the social media page itself).

If you see a 500 notice when trying to connect a Jetpack Social connection, first check your Jetpack connection. Then contact your web host to have them look at your PHP error logs to deduct why the 500 errors are happening.

Check for global connections

If you have multiple authors who publish posts on your site and want to auto-share them, your social media connections will need to be global. If they aren’t, only the user who made the social media connection will be able to auto-share posts to social media.

Check Open Graph tags

For Jetpack Social to auto-share, your posts must have valid Open Graph meta tags. Follow these steps to check:

  1. Add view-source to the beginning of your post’s URL (example: view-source:https://jetpack.com/support/jetpack-social/troubleshooting-jetpack-social/).
  2. Look for <!-- Jetpack Open Graph Tags --> in the output to see if your site has valid Open Graph tags.

The full output will look something like this (the exact meta tags will be generated based on your content):

If a post does not include a Featured Image or any usable images, Jetpack automatically includes a fallback Open Graph image. This fallback ensures that social networks receive a valid image and prevents sharing failures caused by missing OG tags.

Jetpack’s Open Graph tags are not there

If you don’t see Jetpack’s Open Graph tags in your source, please follow these steps:

  1. Check to see if you have any other plugins that might generate Open Graph tags. The most popular of these plugins include Yoast SEO, Shareaholic, and the Official Facebook plugin; you can see the full list of plugins here.
  2. If you have one of these plugins active, make sure that you have enabled its Open Graph tag generation.
  3. Alternatively, if you want to continue using those plugins but not their Open Graph output, then you can use this plugin to force Jetpack to output its tags: Always Use Open Graph with Jetpack.

Remember to verify that you are not outputting duplicate Open Graph tags with any other plugin, as that will cause sharing your posts to fail.

Jetpack’s Open Graph tags are there but Jetpack Social still fails

If you see Jetpack’s Open Graph tags in your post’s source code, yet auto-sharing to Facebook still failed, the next step would be to use Facebook’s Debug tool to see if there are any error messages. It may be that a plugin that is not on the list mentioned above or even your theme is outputting duplicate Open Graph tags. Feel free to contact us to help you interpret the results.

403 Forbidden errors when sharing

If your post fails to share and you’re seeing a 403 Forbidden error, it means that the social media platform has denied Jetpack permission to publish on your behalf — even if your account appears properly connected.

Here’s what you can try:

  • Reconnect the social media account: Go to Jetpack → Social → Connections, disconnect the affected account, then reconnect it.
  • Try the reshare feature: After reconnecting, open the post in the editor and use the Reshare option to manually trigger sharing again.
  • Check the social platform’s account settings: Sometimes a platform may revoke certain permissions without clearly notifying you. Reauthorizing Jetpack access can help.

These types of errors are usually caused on the social network’s end, and we have limited visibility into the exact cause. Reconnecting often resolves the issue.

If the problem persists with a specific platform (like Nextdoor), feel free to contact us — we can help escalate the issue to their support team if needed.

Change the image that Facebook shows

Jetpack gives several options to Facebook, from the Featured Image, Post thumbnail, and other images in your post. Facebook decides which image they will display.

To increase the chances that a desired image gets chosen, make sure you are following Facebook’s image guidelines:

  • Recommended: at least 1200x630px
  • Required: at least 200x200px
  • For more detail about Facebook’s suggested image size, take a look at their support document.

Internationalized Domain Name

If your site uses an Internationalized Domain Name (one with non-Latin characters), then using Jetpack Social to auto-share posts to Facebook will fail.

There is no known workaround at this time. Facebook is aware of the issue but has not made any updates since 2013.

Post Duplicator issues

If you use a plugin to duplicate your posts, auto-sharing the duplicated posts may fail.

There are several possible solutions when using post duplicator plugins and Jetpack Social:

  1. Don’t start from a published post. Duplicate a draft post.
  2. If the plugin includes an option like “Don’t duplicate post meta” – enable that option.
  3. If the plugin doesn’t include that option, ask the plugin author if they included a filter to prevent duplicating the post meta.
  4. If there is no filter, ask the plugin author to exclude all post meta containing the ⁠⁠⁠⁠_wpas⁠⁠⁠⁠ string from ever being duplicated.

Sharing Buttons

Help your readers spread your message across the web via social media Sharing Buttons.

Give readers the tools to post your content to their networks. You can configure services to appear as icons, text, or both. Some services also display the number of times the post has been shared, as reported by that service.

Add Sharing Buttons via the Sharing Buttons Block

If you use a block-based theme, we recommend adding Sharing Buttons via the Block designed for this purpose. Follow these steps:

  1. Search for the Sharing Buttons Block in the Jetpack section of the block selector. See Jetpack Blocks for detailed instructions on adding blocks.
  2. After adding the Block, add one or more individual sharing services to the block.
  3. Adjust the Block settings to change the justification, orientation, and settings such as Icon + Text, Icon Only, or Text Only.
  4. If you wish, you can add the Block to a template so that it appears on every post or page.

Add Sharing Buttons via Jetpack Settings (Legacy)

You can also turn on Sharing Buttons in your settings to automatically appear at the bottom of every post and page. (We recommend using the Sharing Block described above whenever possible.)

Note: block themes have Sharing Buttons active by default. Head to Appearance → Site Editor and add Jetpack’s Sharing buttons block to your templates.

You can deactivate them by going to WP Admin Jetpack > Settings Sharing and toggling off the Add sharing buttons to your posts and pages option.

If you are not using a block theme and do not see the Sharing Buttons options, you will need to activate it by following these steps:

  1. In the WP Admin, go to Jetpack → Settings → Sharing.
  2. Under the Sharing buttons, activate the Add sharing buttons to your posts and pages option.

Add and configure Sharing Buttons

Once the Sharing Buttons feature is active, you can add them to your website by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to Jetpack → Settings → Sharing in your site’s WP Admin.
  2. Click on Configure your sharing buttons.
  3. Under Sharing Buttons, click Edit sharing buttons.
  4. Click on the services you would like to add or remove.
  5. Drag and drop the services in the order you want them to display on your site.
  6. Choose your preferred button style and where you would like the buttons to appear.
  7. Click Save Changes.

Add more Sharing buttons

Optionally, you can click Edit “More” buttons to add extra social networks, which will be hidden behind a “More” button on your site. The additional network buttons will be displayed when your reader clicks on this “More” button.

Sharing Button Options

There are a few options that you can customize on your sharing buttons:

  • Show buttons on: This option allows you to show sharing buttons on the Front Page, Archive Pages, and Search Results, Posts, Pages, and/or Media.
  • Sharing Label: This option allows you to customize the message above your sharing buttons.
  • Button Style: This option allows you to display buttons with Icons + Text, Icons Only, Text Only, or the service’s official sharing button.

Display the number of likes

Some services allow share counts to be displayed, and they all count them differently. For example, Facebook Share numbers are a total of shares + likes + comments on Facebook.

Share counts are only displayed on the “official buttons” for certain services. If the number of shares does not display, try selecting official buttons from the Button Style dropdown. Pinterest’s Pin-It Button will only show on images if you are using the Official Buttons style.

These totals are reliant on the site’s URL. If your URL changes in any way (for example, changing from http to https), the Sharing Button counts will be reset to zero. Unfortunately, there is no way for us to recover the old totals.

Privacy Information

Sharing Buttons are deactivated by default. You can activate them at any moment from your WP Admin. To do so:

  1. Go to Jetpack → Settings.
  2. Click the Sharing tab.
  3. Toggle the Add sharing buttons to your posts and pages setting in the Sharing buttons section.
Data Used
Site Owners / Users

If you add your Twitter/X username to the Sharing settings, it will be published with the post sharing your content. The post title and permalink will also be shared with any of the services. Additional activity tracking: IP address, WordPress.com user ID, WordPress.com username, WordPress.com-connected site ID and URL, Jetpack version, user agent, visiting URL, referring URL, timestamp of event, browser language, country code.

Site Visitors

When official sharing buttons are active on the site, each button loads content directly from its service in order to display the button as well as information and tools for the sharing party. As a result, each service can in turn collect information about the sharing party. When a non-official Pinterest sharing button is active on the site, information such as the sharing party’s IP address as well as the page URL will be made available to Pinterest, so sharing counts can be displayed next to the button. In addition, Pinterest may add cookies to the page.

Additionally, if reCAPTCHA (by Google) is enabled by the site owner, the sharing party’s IP address will be shared with that service. You can find Google’s privacy policy here.

Likes

Visitors can use the Like button to show their appreciation for your posts. Feel the love! 

Activate and configure the Jetpack Like button

If your site uses a block theme, you do not need to activate Likes. You can head to Appearance > Site Editor and add Jetpack’s Like block to your templates instead.

Activate the Like button by following these steps:

  1. In WP Admin dashboard, go to Jetpack → Settings, then open the Sharing tab.
  2. Scroll to the Like buttons section near the bottom of the page.
  3. Click the button next to Add like buttons to your posts and pages to toggle it on. The button will turn green.

Add the Like button to other areas of your site

By default, when the Like button is activated, it will show on your posts and pages. To display in other areas of the site, including for custom post types, follow these steps:

  1. In your WordPress.com dashboard, go to Tools → Marketing, then click the Sharing buttons tab.
  2. Under Show like and sharing buttons on, select where you want the Like button to display.

This feature and its settings are only available for sites that do not use a “full site editor” theme.

Enabling or disabling email notifications when you receive Likes

When you enable the Like button, Jetpack sends you an email notification by default when one of your readers clicks it. However, you can deactivate these notifications:

  1. Navigate to Settings in your WP Admin
  2. Click Discussion
  3. De-select the box that says Email me whenever someone likes one of my posts
  4. If you do not see this option, it means that you have not turned on Likes for your site.

View your Likes

On content where you’ve received many Likes, only one row of Likes will be displayed. To see all users who have Liked your content, click on the total count, and all Likes will display in a scrollable pop-up.

Disable Likes for specific posts

You can turn off the Like button for specific posts.

  1. When editing a post, click on the Jetpack logo in the Block Editor.
  2. Find the Likes and Shares section by clicking on the Jetpack logo in the Block Editor.
  3. Uncheck the box to disable Show likes option for that post only.
  4. Publish or update your post to save the change.

How to Like content on a site

Click the Like button, and the button changes to show that you’ve liked the post. Your Gravatar appears as a visual indicator of your appreciation.

You must be logged into WordPress.com in order to use the Like button. An alternative for non-WordPress.com visitors is to use the Ratings system.

Your Gravatar is clickable and linked to your Gravatar Profile. If you haven’t configured or updated your Gravatar Profile, you can do that by visiting Me → My Profile in your WordPress.com account.

How to remove your Like from content

If you need to remove the Like from a post (i.e. “unlike” the post), click the Like button again.

Review posts you Like

To review all the posts you’ve liked, visit your Reader on WordPress.com and visit the My Likes section.

Troubleshooting

My likes disappeared.

Likes are tied to specific URLs and cannot be migrated between sites.

The Like button is not showing.

Double-check the Like button settings to make sure it’s activated to show in all the places that you want.

Likes are not loading.

There is a known issue between Cloudflare’s Rocket Loader and Jetpack Likes. You’ll need to disable this feature in your Cloudflare settings.

If you have a cache or other optimization plugin that minifies JavaScript, the minification could cause the Likes button to say “Loading…” indefinitely. Please try to deactivate the minification to solve the issue.

I’m not able to like any more posts.

Our Like features are designed to help you keep up with your favorite blogs, give easy feedback to their authors, and nurture direct conversations. This feature is limited in order to avoid spamming blog authors with notifications of Likes. We recommend you to pause hitting the Like button for a while whenever you experience Likes not going through.

Post to LinkedIn with Jetpack Social

Share your blog posts to your LinkedIn profile automatically using Jetpack Social. Sharing your content to LinkedIn helps you expand your professional network and enhance your visibility in your industry.

Automatically share posts to LinkedIn

To automatically share your posts to LinkedIn, please follow these steps:

  1. Connect your site to LinkedIn.
  2. Create a new post on your site.
  3. On the post page, in the upper right corner click the Jetpack icon (or the social icon if you use the Jetpack Social plugin).
  4. In the Share this post section, toggle on the option Share when publishing.
  5. Click the LinkedIn icon to select your connected LinkedIn account.
  6. Publish your post.

Make the LinkedIn connection available to all site users

You can make the connection available to all users of the website. This means that when another user creates a post on your site, it will also be auto-shared to this LinkedIn account. Depending on the plugin used, Jetpack or Jetpack Social, you can do this by following these steps.

Enable the LinkedIn connection to all users when using Jetpack plugin:

  1. Log in to your site’s WP Admin.
  2. Navigate to Jetpack → Settings → Sharing.
  3. Use the drop-down arrow from the right sidebar near the connection you want to share.
  4. Check the Mark the connection as shared option.

Enable the LinkedIn connection to all users when using the Jetpack Social plugin:

  1. Log in to your site’s WP Admin.
  2. Navigate to JetpackSocial.
  3. Use the drop-down arrow from the right sidebar near the connection you want to share.
  4. Check the Mark the connection as shared option.

Troubleshoot your LinkedIn connections

The auto-share feature of Jetpack Social relies on a working Jetpack connection. If your posts are not automatically sharing, first check the Jetpack connection. For further assistance, visit our Troubleshooting page. If the issue persists, feel free to contact us.

LinkedIn Connection Expiration

Jetpack Social uses refresh tokens to keep your LinkedIn connection active. Once connected, your LinkedIn account will remain active for up to 12 months without needing to reconnect, as long as you continue using the editor or wp-admin during that time.

When the refresh token approaches expiration, Jetpack Social will display a notice asking you to reconnect your LinkedIn account. Reconnecting will renew the token and extend the connection for another year.

If your LinkedIn posts stop auto-sharing, it may be due to an expired connection. Reconnecting your LinkedIn account will restore sharing functionality.

LinkedIn Company Pages

There is a known issue with the LinkedIn API, where permissions are cached for 5 minutes. As a result, if you attempt to connect LinkedIn company pages and do not see them after authenticating with LinkedIn, you should try connecting them again after 5 minutes.

Previously scheduled posts not sharing after LinkedIn reconnection

In certain situations, when LinkedIn is reconnected, previously scheduled posts may not be shared as anticipated. We are working on improving this issue.

Temporary workaround: In the interim, we suggest you implement the following steps to mitigate this issue:

  1. Switch the status of the affected scheduled post to Draft.
  2. Remove the existing LinkedIn connection.
  3. Re-establish the LinkedIn connection.
  4. Change the status of the post from Draft to Scheduled.

By following these steps, you can ensure that your posts are shared on LinkedIn as planned.

Post to Tumblr with Jetpack Social

Thanks to Jetpack Social‘s auto-sharing feature, you can automatically publish each one of your blog posts to your Tumblr blog.

Connect your site to your Tumblr account

To connect your site to your Tumblr blog, follow these steps.

  1. Log in to your Tumblr account.
  2. From your WP Admin dashboard, go to Jetpack → Social
  3. Under Automatically share your posts to social networks, click on Connect an account.
  4. You’ll be taken to Tumblr, where you’ll be asked to approve the connection between your site and your Tumblr account. Click Allow.
  5. Select the Tumblr blog you’d like to connect to and press Confirm. If you have more than one Tumblr blog, you will be prompted to choose one.

Make the Tumblr connection available to all users

You can also make the connection available to all users of the site so that when another user creates a post it will also auto-share to this Tumblr connection. To make the Tumblr connection available to all users of the blog by marking it as a shared connection, follow these steps:

  1. From your WP Admin, navigate to Jetpack -> Social.
  2. Find your Tumblr connection under Connected accounts.
  3. Click the ⌄ arrow next to the Tumblr connection.
  4. Click and enable Mark the connection as shared.

When the connection is shared, it will be available to all administrators, editors, and authors.

Reconnecting Tumblr

If your Tumblr connection gets disconnected or needs a reset, follow these steps:

  1. From your WP Admin dashboard, go to Jetpack → Settings → Sharing.
  2. Under connected accounts, find Tumblr and click the ⌄ arrow next to the connection.
  3. Press Disconnect and make sure the notification confirms the disconnection.
  4. Log in to your Tumblr account, go to App Settings, and remove the WordPress app.
  5. Return to your WP Admin dashboard and follow the steps to reconnect Tumblr.

  • If the post uses an image post format, the image will be included.
  • If an image is embedded within the first 256 characters of the post, that image will be used.

Troubleshooting Jetpack Social Tumblr Connections

As a first step, check that your Jetpack connection is working properly. Jetpack Social will not work correctly otherwise.

Known Issue: Previously Scheduled Posts Not Sharing After Tumblr Reconnection

In certain situations, when Tumblr is reconnected, previously scheduled posts may not be shared as anticipated.

Status: Our developers are currently working to address this problem. We appreciate your patience while we work towards a permanent solution.

Temporary workaround: In the interim, we suggest you implement the following steps to mitigate this issue:

  1. Switch the status of the affected scheduled to Draft.
  2. Remove the existing Tumblr connection.
  3. Re-connect Tumblr.
  4. Change the status of the post from Draft to Scheduled.

By following these steps, you can ensure that your posts are shared on Tumblr as planned.

Post to your Facebook page with Jetpack Social

Automatically publish your blog posts to the Facebook pages that you manage, no paid plan required. Sharing your content to Facebook boosts visibility and engagement and drives more traffic to your blog.

Connect your site to your Facebook page

Since 2018, third-party tools such as Jetpack can only share posts to Facebook pages, not profiles. If you’d like to share any concerns with Facebook, please visit their Help Center.

You will need to use a Facebook profile account that has administrative rights to the target page. A page-only account, Facebook Groups, or a page managed by Facebook Business Manager cannot be used with Jetpack Social. If you’d like to remove a Facebook page from Facebook Business Manager, you can follow the instructions here.

Connect your Jetpack Social to your Facebook page by following these steps:

  1. From your WP Admin, navigate to Jetpack -> Social.
  2. Under the Automatically share your posts to social networks section, click on Connect an account.
  3. Find Facebook in the list and click the Connect button.
  4. Follow the prompts to log into your Facebook account.
  5. If you’re connecting your website to Facebook via Jetpack for the first time, authorize Jetpack’s required permission to manage and auto-share posts on your Facebook pages. To do this, click on Edit access.
  6. After setting the permissions, select Continue as [Your Name] to move forward. If you manage multiple Facebook pages, you will be prompted to select which page you’d like to connect to Jetpack Social.
  7. Click Connect to finish the connection between Jetpack Social and your chosen Facebook page.
  8. You will be redirected back to your WP Admin, where a confirmation notice will inform you of a successful connection: “Your Facebook account has been successfully connected.”

Connect to multiple Facebook pages

With Jetpack Social, you can seamlessly link and share posts across several Facebook pages. To connect your site to multiple Facebook pages that you manage, you can follow these steps:

  1. From your WP Admin, navigate to Jetpack -> Social.
  2. Under the Automatically share your posts to social networks section, click on Connect an account.
  3. Find Facebook in the list and click the Connect more button.
  4. Follow the prompts to log in to your Facebook account and connect your chosen page.

Make the Facebook connection available to all users

To make the Facebook connection available to all users of the blog by marking it as a shared connection, follow these steps:

  1. From your WP Admin, navigate to Jetpack -> Social.
  2. Find your Facebook connection under Connected accounts.
  3. Click the ⌄ arrow next to the Facebook connection.
  4. Click and enable Mark the connection as shared.

When enabled, the Facebook connection will be available to all administrators, editors, and authors.

Reconnect Facebook

If Facebook gets disconnected from your Jetpack Social, re-establish the connection by following the steps below:

  1. Access your site’s WP Admin and navigate to Jetpack -> Social.
  2. Navigate to the Facebook connection and click the Connect button.
  3. On the next screen, either click Continue if you’re already connected to your Facebook account or connect to the account you intend to use.

Image requirements for Facebook Sharing

  • Minimum size: 200 × 200 pixels
  • Images used: Featured image, attached image, or any other image in the post

Troubleshoot Jetpack Social Facebook connections

First, check that your Jetpack connection is working properly. Jetpack Social will not work otherwise.

Previously-scheduled posts not sharing after Facebook reconnection

In certain situations, when Facebook is reconnected, previously scheduled posts may not be shared as anticipated.

Status: Our developers are currently working to address this problem. We appreciate your patience while we work towards a permanent solution.

Temporary workaround: In the interim, we suggest you implement the following steps to mitigate this issue:

  1. Switch the status of the affected scheduled to Draft.
  2. Remove the existing Facebook connection.
  3. Re-connect Facebook.
  4. Change the status of the post from Draft to Scheduled.

By following these steps, you can ensure that your posts are shared on Facebook as planned.

Understanding the “Posted by Jetpack” message

When you use Jetpack Social to automatically share your blog posts to Facebook, you might notice a “Posted by Jetpack” message on your posts. This message only appears to you as the administrator of the Facebook page when you are logged in. Your visitors and followers will not see this message.

Posts do not appear on my page

When Jetpack Social publishes a post to your Facebook page, Facebook crawls your post and looks for Open Graph meta tags in the head to build the post preview with an image, title, and description. Errors in these tags can prevent your post from appearing correctly.

To troubleshoot:

  1. Check for errors by entering one of your post URLs in the Facebook Sharing Debugger.
  2. Fix any errors to ensure Jetpack Social works properly.
  3. If you see duplicate Open Graph meta tags, make sure you only use one plugin to manage them.

If your theme manages Open Graph tags, you may need to edit the theme or contact the theme author for support. If no issues appear in the Sharing Debugger, try disconnecting and reconnecting Facebook, and check for plugin or theme conflicts.

My Facebook page is not available to select

Jetpack Social currently has a limit of 25 Facebook pages that it can retrieve and display during the connection process. If your Facebook account manages more than 25 pages, you may want to transfer management of some pages to an alternative Facebook account to ensure the specific pages you need are visible.

In addition to the retrieval limit, Jetpack Social has the following connection limits per site:

  • Each site can have up to 45 shared Facebook connections available to all users.
  • Each individual user can connect up to 15 unique Facebook accounts per site, for a total maximum of 60 connections per site.

If you already have fewer than 25 pages and are still having trouble, please try the following:

  1. Completely disconnect your Facebook account from Jetpack Social.
  2. When reconnecting, click Choose what you allow to ensure WordPress has permission to manage all pages.

Reset the Facebook connection

If you encounter a problem while trying to reconnect Jetpack and Facebook, it can be helpful to completely reset the Facebook connection. This can also resolve issues related to recent permission changes, integration problems, or frequent reauthentication prompts.

You can reset the Facebook connection by following these steps:

  1. Log in to your Facebook account.
  2. Click your profile picture.
  3. Navigate to Settings and PrivacySettings.
  4. In the left sidebar, under Your Activity and Permissions, click Business Integrations.
  5. Find and remove Jetpack Social from the list of integrations.
  6. Return to your site’s WP Admin.
  7. Reconnect Facebook via Jetpack Social.

Important:
When you reset the Facebook connection, all Facebook pages connected to any other sites through Jetpack Social on the same Facebook profile will be disconnected as well. If you have multiple sites using the same Facebook account, be prepared to reconnect each one individually.

Privacy Information

Jetpack Social is deactivated by default. It can be activated at any time. To activate it:

  1. Go to Jetpack → Settings in your WP Admin.
  2. Click the Sharing tab.
  3. Toggle the Automatically share your posts to social networks setting in the Jetpack Social connections section.
Data Used

Site Owners / Users

In order to process cross-service sharing of new blog content, the following information is utilized by the Jetpack codebase: WordPress site URL, site owner’s local user ID, WordPress.com-connected site ID, two automatically-generated WordPress.com secret access tokens (and the expiration timestamp of those tokens), and the post data that is to be shared (ID, excerpt, content, permalink, etc.). Service-specific access tokens (only for connected services) are also used.Additionally, for activity tracking (detailed below): IP address, WordPress.com user ID, WordPress.com username, WordPress.com-connected site ID and URL, Jetpack version, user agent, visiting URL, referring URL, timestamp of event, browser language, country code.
